I’m Hillary, the ringmaster behind Familiar Funhouse.

For years, I’ve worked in marketing, social media, and events, from DIY venues with sticky floors to brands that just needed a little more personality (and a little less corporate beige). I know how to tell a story that sticks, build campaigns people actually care about, and keep projects moving without sanding off the quirks that make them special. I’m Milwaukee-based, fueled by good playlists and bursts of inspiration (and tons of Liquid Death), and happiest when I’m teaming up with people who aren’t afraid to take a few creative risks.

Familiar Funhouse is the big top for all my creative worlds, housing Pitch Ritual (creative marketing, design, & strategy), Sick Sad Market (pop-up markets with a twist), Odd Vintage (vintage & curiosities) & Calliope Cult (branded merch & art for the people that have never really felt like they fit in). It’s where small businesses, local dreamers, and unconventional creators come for ideas that actually feel like them.

Based in Milwaukee, I work with the people who make their communities interesting, the risk-takers, the makers, the ones who aren’t afraid to stand out. My mission is simple: celebrate the strange, amplify the wonderful, and give your audience something they can’t stop talking about.
